Training Year 2025-2026 Startup: All Cadets are asked to check that they are able to access their Microsoft Teams account so that further instructions can be provided. If you can’t access your account please visit the IT FAQ page for details on how to reset your password.
New Recruits: Please note that 540 Squadron is at capacity for new recruits. Our next intake will be in September 2026 with a wait list released in May 2026. There are several other local Air, Army, and Sea Cadet units in the Halton/Peel area that may still be taking on additional cadets and/or have more flexible intake periods.
Announcements
Come out and support the Bronte and Oakville Legions with their Poppy Drives! A minimum of one shift is mandatory for all cadets. This counts towards your Citizenship and volunteer requirements as a cadet and provides the public with an opportunity to support the Legions and get a poppy for Remembrance Day.

Location: Bronte Legion, 79 Jones St. Please enter through the side door in the parking lot, and go down the stairs.
Timings: AM shift - 0930-1330h,
PM shift - 1300-1700h
Shift timings have time built in already to pick up your boxes and travel to and from your shift location.
Please do not arrive early.
Parent Drivers: Your parent will need to wait until you have picked up your poppy box, and drive you to your shift location.
At the end of your shift, they will need to pick you up from your location and drive you back to the Bronte Legion.
Please make sure your parent does not leave when you check in at attendance.
Dress: DEUs, appropriate for the weather. Please wear your cadet parka if you have one, or a civilian coat if you do not. You will be standing outside for the duration of your shift. If you do not have DEUs, please wear FTUs. If you do not have FTUs, please wear appropriate civilian attire.

Marksmanship activities are starting back up this September! Please note that cadets are required to sign up for each individual open shoot event they wish to attend. Certain Sundays will be dedicated to team training, with open shoot days mixed in throughout the training year.

You can become part of Canada’s largest cadet band. Our band brings together cadets from all over Halton to make music, have fun, and perform at exclusive events. Whether you’re just starting or already know your way around an instrument, everyone who’s willing to practice hard has a place in our band.
Where: Forestview Church Without Walls
When: We rehearse on Fridays from 1800-2130, with some extra practices too.
